Conditions of Sale
All sales through Leo Hydra are final at the point of payment confirmation. Original artworks and limited edition prints are hand-made, bespoke, or produced to order and are therefore not subject to any statutory cooling-off or distance-selling withdrawal period to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. The studio operates a strict no-returns, no-cancellation, no-refund policy save in the narrow circumstances expressly set out below, each of which is subject to the studio's sole and absolute discretion.
By completing a purchase the buyer confirms having read, understood, and accepted these conditions in full, and waives any contrary understanding, prior representation, or informal assurance not set out in writing and signed by an authorised representative of the studio.
Title to any work passes to the buyer only upon (i) confirmed receipt of full payment and (ii) dispatch from the studio. Until both conditions are satisfied, the work remains the exclusive property of Leo Hydra. Risk of loss, damage, deterioration, delay, or misdelivery passes to the buyer upon handover to the courier, irrespective of whether title has passed at that moment. From handover onward, the buyer bears the entire risk of transit, customs handling, storage, and final delivery.
A refund may be considered, at the studio's sole and absolute discretion, only in the following narrow circumstances. Submission of a claim does not create any obligation on the part of the studio and is not an admission of liability.
- 01Verified non-delivery — Where the consignment is confirmed by the courier as permanently lost following the exhaustion, in full, of the courier's official claim and investigation process. The studio has no obligation to initiate or pursue courier claims on the buyer's behalf. No refund is payable where: the courier records the consignment as delivered; the buyer fails to accept delivery or to collect from a depot within applicable holding periods; the consignment is detained, seized, returned, or destroyed by customs; or the delay or loss is attributable to any incorrect, incomplete, or inaccessible address provided by the buyer.
- 02Damage in transit — Where the work arrives with physical damage directly and exclusively attributable to courier transit. The buyer must: (i) record the damage on the courier's waybill at the point of receipt before signing; (ii) photograph the outer packaging and damaged item prior to any unpacking; and (iii) notify the studio in writing within forty-eight (48) hours of recorded delivery. Claims submitted outside this window, without courier-recorded acknowledgment, or without complete photographic evidence will be rejected without further consideration. Minor surface variations, texture irregularities, or handling marks inherent to hand-made and mixed-media works do not constitute transit damage. The studio's assessment of whether any damage qualifies, and of the appropriate remedy, is final.
- 03Incorrect item — Where the item delivered materially differs from the item ordered. The buyer must notify the studio in writing within forty-eight (48) hours of recorded delivery, providing photographic evidence and retaining the original packaging. Variations inherent to hand-made works — including but not limited to colour, tone, surface texture, edge finish, and dimensional tolerance — do not constitute an incorrect item. Reference images are indicative only and do not constitute a representation or warranty of exact appearance.
Any remedy, where approved, is at the studio's sole discretion and may take the form of partial refund, replacement, store credit, or such other resolution as the studio elects. Full refunds, where issued, are calculated net of shipping, handling, packaging, currency conversion, banking and on-chain transaction fees, insurance, reinspection, and any other costs reasonably incurred by the studio in connection with the transaction. The studio is not liable for exchange rate fluctuations, on-chain price movement, or network fee variability between the time of payment and the time of any refund.
The studio reserves the right to offset any approved refund against any amount owed by the buyer to the studio, whether in connection with the same transaction or otherwise.
No returns are accepted under any circumstances other than those set out above. Change of mind, aesthetic preference, taste mismatch, differing expectation, interior placement, buyer's remorse, change in financial circumstance, or any subjective dissatisfaction do not constitute grounds for return, refund, cancellation, or exchange. All product images and descriptions are provided in good faith and are indicative only; it is the buyer's sole responsibility to review them before purchasing.
The studio reserves an absolute right to refuse any return for any reason. Returned items remain at the buyer's risk until formally accepted by the studio. Any item returned without prior written authorisation from the studio will be refused and returned to the buyer at the buyer's cost. Where a return is authorised, the studio reserves the right to deduct return shipping, reinspection, restocking (where applicable), and handling fees from any refund amount.
By the buyer: Orders may not be cancelled by the buyer once payment has been confirmed. For cryptocurrency payments, on-chain transactions are irreversible; the studio is not liable for any loss arising from payment to an incorrect address or for an incorrect amount. For bank transfers, orders may not be cancelled once payment has been reconciled against the order. Recovery of funds sent in error may be limited by banking rules and is not guaranteed.
By the studio: The studio reserves the right to cancel any order, at any time, before or after payment, for any reason, at its sole and absolute discretion, including but not limited to pricing or description error, fraud concerns, sanctions compliance, payment anomalies, or unavailability. Where the studio cancels an order after payment has been confirmed, the payment is refunded via the original method where practicable, net of non-recoverable costs (including on-chain gas, bank fees, and currency conversion). No further compensation is payable.
Claims must be submitted in writing via the Contact page within the applicable window, quoting the order reference and attaching all required photographic and documentary evidence. No verbal claim, claim made via any other channel, or claim submitted outside the applicable window will be considered.
Submission of a claim does not constitute approval, create any obligation on the part of the studio, or suspend the buyer's obligations under these conditions. The studio's determination of any claim is final, binding, and not subject to appeal, external review, or reconsideration. No employee, representative, or agent of the studio has authority to vary these conditions; only an authorised officer of the studio, acting in writing, may do so.
Any chargeback, on-chain reversal, bank reversal, or unauthorised dispute initiated by the buyer in respect of a valid and confirmed order constitutes a material breach of these conditions. In such event the studio may, at its discretion: cancel the order; refuse to dispatch or recover the work; pursue recovery of the full amount together with all costs, fees, and legal expenses incurred; and permanently refuse further service to the buyer.
Leo Hydra reserves the right to update these conditions at any time without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of order confirmation governs that order. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any updated conditions. No oral or informal amendment is binding; only an authorised representative of the studio, acting in writing, may vary these conditions.
